Deecliq ("we", "us", "our") provides a collection of web-based tools and digital services, including free tools available without an account and premium tools available to registered, logged-in users. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Deecliq, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — when you register, we collect your name, email address, username, and a securely hashed password.
• Contact form submissions — your name, email address, and message when you reach out via our Contact page.
• Usage data — for logged-in users, which tools you use, how long you use them, and how many items/files you process, so we can improve the tools and (for admins) review activity.
• Files you process — many of our tools work entirely in your browser and never upload your files to our servers. Where a tool does require server-side processing, files are used only to perform the requested action and are not retained beyond what's needed to deliver the result.
• Technical data — standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and troubleshooting.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the tools and services you request.
• To create and manage your account, and to authenticate you when you log in.
• To respond to messages you send through the Contact page.
• To monitor and improve performance, reliability, and the tools we offer.
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the platform.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for essential functionality only — keeping you signed in, remembering your theme preference (light/dark/neon), and maintaining session security (CSRF protection). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured infrastructure. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting), under obligations of confidentiality.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at info@deecliq.com. Registered users can also update their account details directly from their account settings, or request account deletion.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as it's actually needed. Account data is kept for as long as your account is active, plus a short period after deletion in case it's needed for security or legal reasons. Contact form messages are kept so we can refer back to past conversations, and can be deleted on request. Files processed by tools that do require server-side handling are not retained beyond delivering your result — see "Files You Process" in Section 2.

9. Children's Privacy

Deecliq is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Deecliq after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
